We connect with each other through storytelling. From folk tales to reinterpretations, from personal accounts to original works – stories help us understand each other and navigate the world around us.
TgEntropy and Mezrab in the House offer a three-day workshop on the basics of storytelling*.
This three-day workshop, led by Christina Mercken a.k.a. Storytrooper and Corina Onderstijn will help you on your way as a Storyteller by touching on both shaping your story and presenting it with the help of theater techniques.
We will cover aspects such as: crafting a story, finding the essence, you as a storyteller, dealing with performance anxiety, scripting versus improvising, stage presence and delivery.
All of this will be done in an interactive social learning environment.
At the end of three sessions you’ll be ready to perform your story, maybe even at the Mezrab in the House event!
When: 3, 10, and 24 June from 14:00 to 17:00h.
Where: Literary Cafe De Graanrepubliek, Gedempte Kattendiep 11, Groningen.
All workshops are part of the same program and cannot be followed separately.
We have room for 10 participants, who preferably have some stage experience – for more info and signing up, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
This workshop is organised in collaboration with Mezrab in the House Groningen.
*This is not a corporate storytelling workshop.
